Smoky Quartz is best known as a protection stone. It is the most cleansing stone, with the ability to transmute negative energy. Smoky Quartz aids in periods of transformation, providing you with the strength to push you into new and unfamiliar territory. When facing adversity and distress, it can aid in the manifestation of the strength needed to power through.

I keep Smoky Quartz in my house by my main entry way as a form of protection. I also keep a bracelet hanging from my rear view mirror in my car. When most people think of protection, they think of Smoky Quartz. With protection, comes strength and calm. In situations where I am entering the unknown, such as a new job, I wear Smoky Quartz. I have a friend who was going to meet her estranged father for the first time and I gave her this bracelet to wear for protection and strength. She said she needed courage and calm, and I knew exactly what that meant!
