Cleanse and Charge
It is important to cleanse and charge your crystals as soon as you receive them and prior to use or wear. This removes other people's energy and provides you with a clean slate to set your intentions. There are several ways to cleanse your crystals, but note there are limitations to certain stones. If you have a bracelet or other piece of jewelry I suggest one of the following:
- Place in brown rice overnight
- Smudge with white sage or palo santo
- Place on Selenite, such as a bowl or slab for 24 hours
- Place in a bowl of smaller Carnelian stones for 24 hours
All of the above methods can also be used to cleanse spheres, towers, free forms and rough stones (with the exception of a few that will be noted on the product page). You can also cleanse them using the following methods:
- Place in salt water overnight, preferably sea or rock salt
- Hold in natural running water, such as a creek or stream
- Place outside, preferably on the ground, overnight and collect them in the morning
Do not place clear quartz in direct sunlight, as the light refractions can cause damage i.e. fire. Colored crystals can also fade in prolonged sunlight. Remember to maintain the cleanliness of your crystals and store them in cloth, such as linen, cotton, silk or satin to avoid scratches and protect against negative energy. Try not to let other people handle or touch your crystals.
Set Intention
Once your crystals are cleansed and charged, it is time to set your intention for your crystal. Hold your crystal in front of a light source, such as a candle or outside in the sun, and set your intention. For example, if you need inspiration to complete a difficult project you might think "provide me with focus and drive to complete this project today", while keeping your eyes closed and repeating the intention. It is important to be as specific as possible.

Each item comes with a description card for the crystal purchased. Most items will also be shipped in a linen bag for safe storage (larger items, such as bowls, will not fit the bags).
